Yes. You can pick from any day that we have availability to deliver your order.

No. Unless you’re a skilled forklift driver you won’t be able to assist our drivers with the unloading of your order. But if you have somewhere specific you would like your order left then please let us know and we will pass this onto the driver, or you can tell them yourself when they inform you of their arrival time, or even leave out a tarpaulin, wheel barrow or bin etc with a note on saying “please leave Turf here “.
Not at present. We deliver Monday-Friday except Bank Holidays, most deliveries are between 0700-1700 but sometimes they are earlier or later dependant on how the day runs and the ever-changing traffic situation.
Yes. The price you see when you check out is the price that you will pay.
All of our topsoil is delivered in bags using one of our fleet Manitou demountable forklift trucks. This helps keep the mess contained on your driveway and keeps your work site clear. We can however lift the bags over low walls or raised beds using our forklifts and hold the bags in the air so you can cut the bottom out of the bag so the material is just where you want it and saves you digging it out of the bag if that is what you want.
On our website the minimum lead time for a delivery is a week. If you want to book a delivery sooner than that then please give us a call and we will see if we can squeeze you in sooner, usually our lead times are around 2 working days using this method of contacting the office by phone.
No, they are a single trip bag, but don’t just throw them away! Think about how you can recycle or re-use the bags as they are very useful around your garden, you can use it to collect leaves and other garden waste to take out to your green waste bin each week, or you can wash out the bulk bags and turn them into boot liners for your car or somewhere to put muddy boots indoors.
Not necessarily. But if you’re replacing an existing lawn ask yourself why? Chances are some of the vital components to having a lush and healthy lawn were not present and the vehicle for those components to allow the lawn to flourish are held within the topsoil layer beneath the turf. Not putting down fresh topsoil can be a false economy because what you save in the initial installation you will spend over time in extra nutrition and effort in order to make your lawn look its best.
Yes. Delivery minimums are 1 bulk bag or 25 rolls of turf. Anything under these quantities can be collected from any of our depots.

It depends on the job. Topsoil is growth medium, compost is something you use to improve the growth medium because it is lacking something, usually a bit of nutrition or the ability to retain moisture. Lawns need to be free draining, beds depending on what is planted in them generally like a bit more moisture held within the soil structure.
You can drop the pallet back to any one of our depots in Olney or St Albans. If you don’t want to do that then you could recycle the pallet by breaking it up for a multi fuel burner. Or you could upcycle the pallet and use it as part of a project in your home or garden, pallets make great compost bins or planters or you can strip them down and use the slats as raw materials for something really creative like a used timber panelled wall in your home.
